110gr. V-Max in 30-30
Does anybody load these bullets? I used 35grs. of IMR 3031. With a Winchester 94 standard rifle about what velocity should I be seeing. I plan on using these on coyotes.
Here's some of Paco's loads. I haven't tried them yet, but some of them push the upper limits.

Your load should be around 2,700-2,800 fps I would think.

I've loaded 110 grain spitzers (not V-Max, obviously) for the past 35+ years. They've shot and worked great in any .30-30 I've used. That velocity figure quoted above is probably pretty close but I've never chronographed any loads. I load for maximum accuracy and usually end up in the top 1/4 of the powder charge listd in the books.
I also have had good results with then in a 30 Herrett I had a few years ago.
