Good story.

Just because we are old doesn't mean we can't shoot straight!

And remember Florida is a Castle Doctrine state so he is safe from prosecution for defending himself, unlike some other parts of the country, In some places he would have to keep the pistol locked and disabled with the ammo secured separately. Florida has its problems, but that ain't one of them.

My .22 pistol stays in the safe. My night stand guns alternate between a .357 mag. and .45 ACP

edit: Doh! Just re-read it and he is from Tenn. The story was posted from Fla. I assume Tenn. is OK with self defense

I saw this on another forum. Maybe if he had used a 38 special it would given the perp a bigger headache.
Republic. I like the sound of the word. It means people can live free, go or come, buy or sell, be drunk or sober, however they choose. Some words give you a feeling. Republic is one of those words that makes me tight in the throat . . . . Some words can give you a feeling that makes your heart warm. Republic is one of those words.

I once read about a perp shooting a woman in the head with a .38 special and it rickoshayed off her head.!. Belive she was already lying on the floor and he was going to finnish her almost point blank. I did notice she had a polish sounding name.

I'm glad to see he wasn't courtmartialed.

I have two homicides that the perps used 22's. Both victim's were shot once in the head. Obviously it did the job both times.
