The thread about hunting peep sights is good. I just attended an AppleSeed shoot, and had to use iron sights the second day because a scope screw was stripped out on my gun. I did better than I thought I would with iron sights at 25 meters. Appleseed was good instruction and history of the first day of the American Revolutionary war--and-- good people!

Yup, a rifle without iron sights is not a lot of use when the carrying handle fails. 
Whatever you do always give 100%........... unless you are donating blood.
