OT...Homecoming at last
Many of you may recall i made a Prayer Request this past Mar 28th
for my son, Spc Michael J. Fleury.
Michael was wounded Mar 27th during an IED attack in Afghanistan. He received a Purple Heart. So thanks to all who responded, and included him
in their Prayers. That being said.....AN UPDATE.
After 5+ months since his incident, he is finally coming home. I am excited to say the least! He will arrive at the Rhinelander Airport this Sat. the 11th.12:46 PM CST.
There will be Family and friends waiting. Also there will be an Honor/Color Guard from the American
Legion, and VFW to welcome him home.
Again, thanks Lever Gunners!

Bet the gang here would like to see a picture too, if you can manage it -- but we all know some handshakes, hugs & kisses will come first.

However i have what is called a webtv, not a computer, no can do. Perhaps
if there is anyone who has the know
how, i could forward these and they could post them. If anyone would like
to PM me their email address, i would
forward them, and you could give it a

Re: OT...Homecoming at last
It is my privilege to post these pictures for papasan, which are from his son's now-completed tour in Afghanistan.
As they are not my pictures, it's best if I don't say too much here, but I wish the best for the little boy, I'm sorry about the dog, but am very glad that Spc Fleury (papasan's son) has recovered from his ordeal and has finally come home.
To papasan, on behalf of the forum, we're all hoping that your son's Homecoming today was truly outstanding and we are grateful for his service.
God Bless all.

Re: OT...Homecoming at last
Yes his Homecoming was Outstanding!
Upon arrival they held him on the plane and let all other passengers off first Then when he came in the lobby, the Honor Guard, called attention, then an ordered hand salute was given.
My son is a shy guy, and he had kind of mentioned he did not want any fuss
or bother. But i could sense, as his
Dad, his Pride. And with all our family and his friends, and remaining passengers applauding, i could see his eyes...well a little moist. As for me i was fine, all i had was a little something in my eye ya know?
To Old No7, Thanks my friend. And to all concerned who have posted, read
what was posted. God Bless America.
Right now Michael is out with his friends as i type, chasing the
Ladies, or rather perhaps they are chasing him. We will have a lot of
Quality time ahead in these two weeks!
