OT- Picked up a vintage S.D. Myres Holster for Colt SAA.

Post by rangerider7 »

Things are coming together this last few months. I have been looking to find a vintage S.D. Myres, El Paso holster for a 5 1/2 inch barreled Colt SAA for some time. Well it's here. It is in great condition and fits the Colt SAA perfectly. It is marked S.D. Myres, El Paso on the back. I thought y'all might like to see it.

rangerider - That's a beauty. Is that a Tom Threepersons type design ? I wonder what the year of manufacture would be for the holster.

Nice find. Were you a bloodhound in a past life ? :) - DixieBoy

DixieBoy, yes it's a Tom Threeperson's holster. S.D. Myres was the original maker of the Threeperson's style.

DixieBoy, sorry I forgot to answer one of your questions. The maker mark that is on this holster was used from 1920-1969. If I had to guess, using in information I got from the man that previously own it, I would say 30s-40s. He was a LEO during this time period.

rangerider - Thanks. Those Tom Threepersons holsters are still a really functional design in my book. Beautiful piece of work there, and history too. Once again, you bring home the bacon. - DixieBoy
