DESERVING PERSON(S) HUNT UPDATE:

The hunt for a deserving person blossomed into a hunt for 3 deserving people. As was already announced, Ji and Terry Barlow were selected by the panel of Judges. Nomination #13 was carefully considered and probably would have been #3 if we could have done it at the time.

Everyone's contributions made it possible to send the two selected. It ended up also lifting some of the financial weight I was going to carry for the hunt. Therefore, I am personally sponsoring #13. He will travel to TX with me and I purchased his return airfare today. I am also taking care of whatever animal he choses to take. He has agreed to contribute to the cooking, as he is a master chef and author of a cookbook focusing on wild game.

Just two weeks to go - I am really looking forward to meeting all the participants.

See you the 8th -13th!

Anyone who still wishes to make a contribution is welcome and encouraged. We would like to pay for the meat processing if possible for as many of the 3 winners as we can. There is also no compensation for whomever helps make round trip airport pickups and dropoffs. I would like to have one of the local guys come by and do some skinning to speed things along. I am happy to itemize whatever is spent on the deserving hunt winners.
