anyone know the right marbles sight to fit this bill? short shank or long shank?

Do you mean Tang sight post or sporting sight blade? If the former, it will solely depend on the ranges you'll be shooting at. If the latter, it will be dependent upon how far your dovetail is in front of your receiver.

hi griff, im looking at brownells item# 579-065-001. it's not a tang sight but the full buckhorn sight that would replace the factory semi buckhorn.
