I know Y2K is having a great birthday, but I'll wish him a happy one anyway. He had a dozen boys over last night for a party, and we spent half of it shooting BB guns in the back yard. Y2K showed off a bit (okay, a lot). After they ate they were all running around the yard playing "war". They had grabbed every toy sword, bow, and spear Y2K had. First time in a long time I've seen them all played with, and I realized he had enough to "arm" all his friends. I guess they were going for a mini-Braveheart theme! By the time the parents came to pick them all up they were all sugar-ed up on cake and ice-cream, and all sweaty from running in the yard.

My son a few years ago found the rack of conduit and copper pipe scraps out in the barn left over from building our house, and must have made a couple dozen swords and guns out of them by cutting them or flattening them (if he wanted a sword or bayonet), then wrapping them in duct-tape to hold all the parts together. For awhile he had a whole collection of them, and would load them all in the car to go visit (plan wars) with his friends.
He was actually CUTE back then...
