I thought you fella's might get a kick out of this ole' farm wagon. I paid $1600 for it and it's all original and unmolested. The running gear is Moline....good stuff. I plan on getting a mule to pull it. It came with an Alaska license plate..!
I'm holding my 1892 Winchester Trapper in the photo...just for kicks
Excellent. You'll have a lot of fun with that old Buckboard.

That's cool. I have an original "Soil Culture and Modern Farm Methods - Issued by the Soil Culture Department of DEERE & COMPANY", Compliments of Dr. W.E. Taylor, Director of the Soil Culture Department, DEERE & COMPANY, with B&W photos of modern horse-drawn Deere Implements.

I maintain a small town house in Vancouver, WA. , so have my vehicle licensed in WA., but that's going to change soon. My Cabin will be framed and up by the end of June 2010. I have been spending time on the "Eastern Oregon Homestead" off and on, but moving there for good very soon.
Not sure what kind of Mule I'll get, but I plan on looking for one next Spring.

Joe
Joe,
That wagon was made in the late 1800's by John Deere. It has Moline running gear.
Mike
Mike,
Thanks for the info.
Another question; where and how do they mark wooden wagons and the running gear? I've never been close enough to get a look see at one.

Moline Wagon Company is written in black in two locations above the rear axle below the box.
John Deere and the Moline Wagon Company worked together, and John Deere eventually bought the Wagon company.
I was told not to paint it and keep it original... boiled linseed oil is used as a perservative...I was told that by the Wagon folks..
