OT Prayers...Med Chopper Crash

Post by Hillbilly »

Cindy Parker was part of the air crew on the Med chopper that crashed in West Tn today. All three crew were killed... they were inbound to the station after dropping a patient of at a hospital.

She was a couple of years behind me in High School. Cindy grew up to be a great woman, great wife and great Mom...plus she was one hell of a flight nurse.

She leaves two sons behind ...one who is in Iraq (last I heard anyway... he's had a couple of tours) today-USMC. Cindy had four grandkids.. and was the kind of woman who kept her kids "on good horses" literally and metaphorically.

Life is fragile, fellas. Count your Blessing often.

Prayers sent. Friend from EMT class wants to be a flight nurse also. She will be a good one if she ever makes her dream. Worry about things like this for her though.

Same thought as others about when good people die, and makes you wonder, especially when so many others that don't have a good bone in their body seem to skate (for now). She sounds like one of the best. Prayers up for her, her workmates, family and friends.

I hate to see service people die in the line of duty, tho, I suspect that's the way a good person wants to go...with their boots on.

Thanks for all the prayers for Cindy and the rest of that Crew... plus the families.

I have seen some photos of the debris feild and read a few eyewitness acounts. I have done some accident investigation work (not for the NTSB ....just power company stuff) and I don't thing they ever knew what hit them.

The chopper may have been hit by lighting from what folks who saw the flash reported.

Seems like yesterday we were goofing around a high school cafeteria, tying kids' shoe laces together and stuff like that...
