Genuine Henry in The Tall T.

Post by gamekeeper »

Recuperating after my heart attack I now have time to catch the Westerns on afternoon TV.
Today I watched Randolph Scott in The Tall T.
The guy looking after the stage relay station had a "real" Henry rifle but Randy had the usual brass plated 92 with no forearm wood.
I was hoping to see a few shots fired from the original Henry but I guess they were out of .44RF.

Dark Command with John Wayne and a young Roy Rogers was on too!

HEART ATTACK???

Well I'm embarrassed. I must have missed that somehow. I hope you're better now. We'll be sure to keep you in our prayers here.

I think we better pray for your wife as well.

I know if I had to stay in the house for any time my wife would be calling directory assistance for the number of the grim reaper.

Me, too, gamekeeper ! Here's to a speedy return to the shooting sports ! :P

Gamekeeper,
You're doing fine. You must be--not many people can tell the difference between a brass covered '92 and a Henry. :D

Speedy recovery--just tell everyone you need more time even if you are feeling good. We all need a bit of "down time" every now and then. I've been waiting for mine for 55 years but with all the illegals here and the new "Obamacare" depending on my tax dollars, who knows when its gonna happen. :D --------------Oh well, life goes on---------Sixgun

John -

I'm glad to hear you are resting. I asked our Boy Scout Troop to say a prayer for you the other day. They remember the neat Boy Scout coin you sent me.

Prayers offered up for your recovery. The Tall T is a great movie, by the way.

Prayers sent...it has been seven years this coming Monday since I had mine. Now that I quit my twice a week basketball league, gave up trying to eat tofu, and food that food eats, I am forty pounds(20 kilos to you guys now) heavier, my health has improved.
