Oooh, what's the right word...?

Ouch.

Government office attracts the power-mad, yet it's people who just want to be left alone to live life on their own terms who are considered dangerous.

History teaches that it's a small window in which people can fight back before it is too dangerous to fight back.

What happened? How come there's no powder in the two cartridges that neighbor the barrel-aligned cartridge?

Gee, and I thought only Colt made open top revolvers?!?!?

(3rd time I've seen that pix on this site, but it's always an eye-opener...)

Hm
Pretty sure we've had this photo on the board in the last 6 months at least once. With a rather lengthy discussion of it at the time. Double charge was the verdict if I recall correctly.

Am I wrong? I don't see a solid ,welded or forged, connection between the top strap and the receiver at the rear. Does the strap only slip into those ears? Or is it the picture?

The "ears" you see is the metal around the the rear sight. The sight sits in a groove and the rear is also relieved so the sight doesn't have to sit very high.

I don't thing you could ever buff it clean. I'd just parkerize it and call it good.

I'd go with Araldite first, then just buff off the irregularities.

Hey do you reckon the shooter noticed something not quite right when he pulled the trigger?

Does the factory warranty cover that? I hope that didn't leave a mark.

I'm guess buffing won't help so I'm voting for some J-B Weld and call it good. :P

I hope the shooter was not injured. Lots of "locked" Smiths out there, but a shortage of fingers.
