Just want to say Hi and Thanks!!
Hello fellas. I just joined your forum though I have been reading along for about a month already. Just bought a Rossi R92-52203 yesterday. Seems like a fine gun for the money. I must admit that I have absolutely NO experience with long guns though I own a bunch of 45LC cal revolvers. Figured I would get the Rossi and find yet another way to shoot up some 45 LC ammo.
I live in Palm Beach county Florida. Although we have a few gators in the canal across the road, the area is getting kinda built up and you can't shoot in the neighborhood. Well I guess I could do it once, but then the sheriff would be at my front door pretty fast. We also own some land in Huerfano County Colorado. Some of the most beautiful country I've ever seen. Would love to hear from anyone out there in those parts.
Anyway, just wanted to explain myself a bit if that's okay. I will possibly ask a question at times that shows that I am a beginner. Most of the time I will just be quiet and listen and learn from you all.
Thank you for your time. Shorty 55

Hi Shorty, I am looking forward to hearing of the adventures of the 45lc levergun.
Is it me or do we not see much action from the 45lc leverguns, especially hunting pics?
Nath.

I had to look up that model number, 20 inch octagon, color case receiver. A very nice combination! I have a 44 Mag just like it.

Re: Just want to say Hi and Thanks!!
Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome!!. Like I mentioned before, I like to quietly sit here and listen and learn from you all. Think I gotta lot of listening to do too. Sometimes we take different paths to arrive at the same place and I believe that is true in my case. Although I admit I to being a beginning shooter at the age of 55, I will try and look for spots here and there where I can still contribute to your community at Leverguns. I know I can.
JerryB, nice to know you are from this neck of the woods. I live in a place called the Acreage which is only about 8 miles from the JW Corbett Wildlife area. All the wildlife areas that you remember are probably still here, but much of the dry land that is buildable has houses all over the place now. We were sort of at the center of the Great Land Boom that the country went through several years ago.
Lot of foreclosures here but also many good deals on homes now. Real cheap. The critters are still running around here though. Even got a Wildlife sanctuary about half a mile away on the far side of the canal. When the wind blows from the east I can hear lions roaring- I guess for their breakfast. You guys ever come to visit I'll take you there... But not for breakfast....
Anyway, thanks for the welcome.. Shorty55

Welcome
You will love it here, it's a real nice place.
You will also enjoy that 45 carbine, they are a real pleasure to shoot and can go from mild to "holy cow that hurts".
