Took the wife & dog for a drive in the Yaak to gather up some hucks, dog likes to eat them. danny


old pine martin trap box

Three little lakes on top, muddy one has brookies in it,moose had it all stirred up.

Several years ago took my Grandson on a trip to Montana. We fished the Yaak and had lunch at the Dirty Shame Saloon. My Grandson found a shed moose antler in the river. Great country, great trip.

Beautiful country, you're a lucky man. Looks like the water level is a bit low, not much snow?

Great pics - as a kid I had all the wild berries scouted out in the local woods etc.
In the High Desert of Southern Calif. ..."on the cutting edge of going back in time"...

Ceb, these lakes are right on top the rockys and are only fed by snow melt except the one with trees in it it has a lake spring that flows with the amount of snow pack this time of the year its down,there was alot of snow this year.
Kim, come on over will ride and fish some mtn lakes for brookies & cutts. danny

Around these parts, I heard Hucks are going for 35$$ a gallon to the buyers...... :shock:

You got some pretty country to roam. The blueberries are really popping here. Just have to beat all the critters to get them. 1886.

Blaine, the hucks here are 25.- a gal, I usually pick 5 to 10 gal a year for syrup, jam and to put in sourdough pancakes. danny
