large loop lever

Post by two bit okie »

I guess this would probably be directed to Nate Jones. I have a bone stock rossi puma mod 92.

THEORETICALLY SPEAKING. Should any mod 92 large loop lever work in it. I know it would have to be fitted.

I would like a john wayne look alike. I do know all of the arguments against the big lever, but I want one anyhow. Ya know what I mean, pilgrim.

Thanks for any imput.

Nate put a WWG on my Rossi .357 and I love it!!! not worried about speed. I like the way it feels and looks. Others don't, saves them from the extra money.

Hi Mike,
Your lever just happens to look like the WWG but it's actually a Rossi made lever.
Here are the loop levers that Rossi has made over the years. I think your gun got the one on the bottom but in stainless.

The key words here are "I know it would have to be fitted.". Even the Rossi made levers sometime require fitting. Most will drop right in but you may experience some functional issues. I've used Rossi levers in original 92' Browning b92's, and the ASM/Armi Sport 92. I've never gone the other way as in use their lever in a Rossi. That could be a whole new set of problems.

What lever of the three above do you consider to be the John wayne lever? The reason I ask is I've seen movies where he use the top one and other movies where he used the bottom one. he even used 20" guns but mostly 16" guns.
I have a few big loop levers in stock.

Sharps 1863 - It woulda been better/polite, to start your own new thread asking about peeps, ILO hi-jacking this one. (Sorry, two bit okie)

FYI - Model 92's will take a side-mount Model 94 peep, a top-mount Model 94AE peep, or a bolt peep - even a tang peep.
Take your choice.

These are my big-loops, a .357 & a .45.
