The fellows here making their own for other calibers tell me there isn't much difference with the copper bullets.

When the lead-ban first came out in CA, I called Barnes Bullets about their bullets and loads for them. "Ty" of Barnes Bullets sent me the following load data for .30-30. Later, on I think 11 Jan 2008, a Mr. Card at Barnes Bullets gave me permission to post it periodically.
I encourage anyone who is using Barnes Bullets to get their reloading manual.

I worked on that last summer, came up with 32 gr H4895, with OAL 2.48. That just fills the case. Estimated MV is 2200, never chrony'd it.

The only difference that I have experienced is that CU bullets strike higher and you will need to adjust your sights accordingly.

Do you mean H4895? If so, would you edit your post so somebody doesn't go crazy looking for what you posted or blow themselves up.El Chivo wrote:I worked on that last summer, came up with 32 gr H895, with OAL 2.48. That just fills the case. Estimated MV is 2200, never chrony'd it.
Not meant to be negative/nagging. It's just that we can't be too careful passing reloading info along.
