OT long range shooting class

Post by dkmlever »

I am enrolled in a long range shooting class (300-700 yards) to take place in early June. I have decided to take my bolt action 30-06 with a Leupold 4x14 Vari-X-III with their new tactical reticule (mil dots). I need a long range accurate load to shoot as I need to take 150 rounds of ammo to shoot in this three day class. I thought about using the Sierra match king bullet 168 gr but the instructor suggested using the Sierra Palma match king 155 gr. Any ideas on loads would be helpfull. I will load up 6 or 9 of each load, then shoot them for accuracy in my rifle then select the best one to load up the balance of the rounds.
