I don't know why, but losing pets are just as bad as losing people :(

I am so sorry Tom. I have always had a dog. Heck, always had a job where I could have the dog with me. It hurt like the dickens when one would go to wherever great dogs go when they leave planet earth. May you heal in time and find another little furry buddy.

My best,

Scotty

Sorry to hear. From your discription of the dogs condition it was for the best. Take comfort in your other pups and you will get through.

Tom,
Thought about you and your wife today.
Took my mini schnauzer for an extra long car ride today.
My sympathy/prayers got out to you two.

I told my wife about your loss and a tear came instantly to her eye (remembering our loss two years and more ago).
Time will help the healing but wee never let go completely. :(

Tom,

i feel for you. I have a little Pekingnese named Cupcake that i found at the lake while i was 4-wheelin' one day and she is an older dog. A year later and i love that dog more than i love my guns . She is maybe 12 years old --- has declining vision, hearing, and not many teeth left, but she still has more spirit and positive emotions than i do.

It will crush me when the day finally comes ----------

God bless little dogs (i also took her for a fun car ride today)

Sorry for your loss. Like the others have said time helps but the best thing I've found that helps is to think about all the good times you had together. Also,I always think of the quote by Will Rogers that "If there are no dogs in Heaven, then when I die I want to go where they went". I think he summed up the way most of us feel. Again sorry for your loss.
