Henry Lever .30-30

Post by ursavus.elemensis »

Anyone know if the Henry Repeating Arms Co. lever .30-30 is available yet?

If so, what's the ballpark "gun store" price for one with blued steel round barrel (factory MSRP is about $750)?

Probably $850, until the pipeline's filled.

If current trends are any indication, you can expect to pay $560 for the blue steel version, and about $710 for the brass version (if you're willing to wait at least six months).

Are they available yet? My gun store tried to find one for me and could not find it in the distributor network. Anyone know if they're out yet, and what do you guys here on this forum think of these rifles?

My local gun shop (carries a lot of Henry rifles) got a Henry flyer in the mail with a brochure about their new .30-30s and when he called them, they said they would be available in the March - May time frame. They didn't say but I would think the prices would be in the $700.00 to the $1000.00 range.

MSRP for the blue steel version is $749, and for the brass/octagon it's $980. After they've been in the channel for a few months, you should see the prices come down about 20-25% below MSRP.

What is Henry doing that would make the 30-30 worth 2-3 times a new 336? :?

Staying in business I guess.

Mr. Imperato promised us at least one to test ... said it would Spring sometime when we talked to him. That was some time ago so things could go either way.

I think I could find a real nice pre 64 94 for $900. I thought that Henrys were reasonably priced guns.
BTW the owner Mr. Imperato passed away last month.

y'all will have to excuse me but that 30/30 does nothing for me  it won't replace any of my marlins or winchesters.fugly rifle.

Nobody said anything about "replacing" a Winchester or a Marlin. My new Henry .30-30 will not replace my model 94's, buit it will take its place in the same safe with them, and apparently with the new Mossberg lever .30-30 and with the re-born Model 94 that apparently will be coming from FNH's plant in the Carolinas sometime after they re-launch the Winchester model 70 this spring. It's going to be a busy year for lever .30-30's.

Well I liked the henry 22 that I had but I'd rather have a Marlin, or two!

It was Mr. Imperato's father that passed away.

I sent condolences from all of us at Leverguns and received a very nice reply back.

Every levergun they make but the H001 and H001Y are severely overpriced, and they are getting pretty high for a gun made of the same stuff they use to make matchbox cars.

That said, my H001 will keep 'em all in a gopher hole at 200 yards! I love that cheap little piece of stuff!
