My Son's First Hunt

Post by 86er »

I took my 3 1/2 year old boy Brandon to Ricky's house. While we were shooting he wanted in on the action. Ricky has a Cricket Rifle that Piller generously loaned him. We let Brandon shoot some Super Calibre .22's. Later, we went to our new propery that is shared with Ricky, CRS, Jim S and I. We tried fishing but did not get anything. Luck was on our side. Brandon was able to shoot two Texas Cottontails! A very proud kid and parent are pictured below:

Congratulation to Brandon! That was one of the best hunts I've ever been on, to see a young man find success hunting is marvelous. Joe your doing a great job raising a fine boy, good job to both of you.

Good on both of you. Joe, even though he's only three and a half years old, he's got your stoic pose for the camera down.

Joe -

Starting him off right! :D I started Y2K off with a .22 and .22 Colibri's. Now look what I have on my hands - every time I bring home a new gun he asks "am I going to get that now... or later?"!!!

Great job, Joe. You are teaching Brandon right. By the way, that crickett rifle is plenty accurate, isn't it? It really pleases me to see it being used instead of just sitting in a closet since my son has outgrown it. Since it is stainless and composite, I am betting it will still be looking just as good as it does now when he teaches his kid(s) to shoot with it, whenever that is.

Good job Kiddo! Joe - he has your stoic look in trophy photos! I'm sorry I cannot send any appropriate ammo for the little guy, YET. I guess his hanging out with Craig Boddington paid off! Congratulations!
