Another wow for today! Fastest on-line auction response...

Post by O.S.O.K. »

I listed a Ballester Molina 45 on gun broker just about 1/2 hour ago - to pay for another purchase (a EAA Witness 10mm Auto).

It sold already - bam! Either the guy is very decisive, I priced it too low or there is something special about this one that I'm ignorant of which another way of saying I priced it too low.

I don't think so - I bought it for $189 a few years back and sold it for $389 - shipping won't cost me much - that's a $200 gain, so I'm not complaining - just weird how fast it sold. Out of 71 transactions on gun broker, I've never had anything sell that quick - was only like 15 minutes.

Anyway, thought this was noteworthy...

Here's a pic of the Witness 10mm that I've ordered. Coming from Bud's gun shop, so I know its in stock and will ship - they're really good about showing accurate inventories on their site:

I'd show you a pic of the Ballester Molina but my pic-hosting site is down again.... gunsnet.

And AWP - you are to blame for this whole thing - showing off your 10mm and getting all of those other guys to post pics and stories about their wonder guns and such. Yep, nothing but an enabler - that's you! ;)

Eh, I've been called worse...

Did you go for the full size or compact? I'm trying real hard to stick to my plan for the year as far as purchases go but the Elite Match shore does look purty!

I'm amazed at what the Molinas are going for.

I've seen several into the $500 range.
I sold mine years ago and still made a profit. I kept the System 27s though.
The Molina just didn't fit my hand right. My Dad still has several of each.

Hope they keep going up!

I ordered that one pictured. Full size, 15 round mags - standard model.

You got the compact - that's right - full sized fram with shorter slide/barrel right?

I won't be concealed carrying this - that's what my Kahr-9 is for. :)

In fact, I really don't know what this is for exactly other than range fun and teotwawki I guess.

Did you have to tell me that? I did a little research before posting and the ones with bids were at 300 close to the end of the auctions. Mine is nice though. Guy that bought it is in taxechuttets (MA) and is a fellow C&R collector.

The way I look at it, I traded the Molina and $16 for the Witness and the witness has two mags so its a wash. Yes, I'm rationalizing ;)

The Systemas are worth quite a bit more - very collectible = and cool.

OK, it was hard for me to tell from the pic.

The compacts are short frame/full size slide. I can (and have) used the full size .38 Super top-end I have on the compact frame. Picked up some mag spacers so I can use the FS Super mags.
