FYI : Brass Available At Starline

Post by JJ_Miller »

I called Starline today and they had 32 HR Mag brass, I ordered 1000 and they had plenty. The saleslady said they had other brass also. Maybe the panic buying is slowing down :?: :?: ....................................JJ

That's good to hear.

I stocked up on .444 Marlin brass a couple of months ago. I've got a thousand .444 Marlin cases along with plenty of bullets (cast and jacketed), primers, and powder. Actually, I've probably got about 250 more cases than I need and may make them available over on the classifieds.

Ed, you're a lot more generous than I am. If it's a cartridge I shoot I never have enough brass. :D

Notice I said, "....may make them available". I'm kinda like you Joe. What with the unavailability/scarsity of brass, I just may hold onto them.

I am with you Joe. I don't remember where I heard or read it but I try to have at least 200 pieces of everything I reload, shoot, or think I might want to shoot. :D There have been too many shortages in the not too distant past for what I consider standard items.

200 pieces of brass isn't much. I've got more than that in .45 AR, .44 Mag, and maybe .44 Spcl., and I don't even have guns for it.

For my way of thinking, I want at least 1000 good cases for any caliber I shoot a lot. That goes for the handguns mostly, but I've got a right big pile of rifle brass too.

But then maybe I'm just a pack rat or something.

Sure wish they'd tool up for 45-75 brass though

I know people who have at least 3,000 cases for everything they shoot: 1,000 loaded, 1,000 cases ready to load, and 1,000 cases ready to prep. I want that myself, but...

That I understand. But when you've been shooting as long as I have brass just sort of accumulates. I never get rid of it. If I don't have a gun to use it in I clean it, and pack it away for the future.
