The lyman 115 gr bullet is the classic, the rcbs 98 swc from wheelweights comes out right at 100 grs and ought to work really good.
If I still owned a 32wcf I'ld go after the lilgun data and watch things shine I think.

+1, except I use 5.5 grains for 1400. Any good cast bullet sized .312 or .313 ought to work good, although I do prefer a gas check design as most old Winchesters have slightly pitted bores and/or worn crowns so the gas check helps in the accuracy department. Probably 20 thousand rounds of 32-20 rounds loaded with 5.5 Unique with a plain base/gas checked cast bullet (Lyman) have been shoved down the barrels of various Winchesters, Marlins or Colts by me over the last 35 years.------------Sixgun

Tycer, my old 1917 '92 sure does like the 85 and 100 grain Hornady XTPHP bullets with 8.5 grains of 5744 and 11.1 grains of 5744 for the 100 grain. I can't seem to get it to shoot cast as good as jacketed bullets. You are in for some real fun working up loads for your rifle.

I was told the 3118 was the best bullet mold, hands down. I believe it is the 31108 or 311008 now. You can buy the molds at Midway.
Sincerely,

Hobie

Hard to beat the Lyman 311008 115 gr. cast of 50/50 WW & lead over 7 gr. 2400 and a CCI 400 . My rifles shoot it well. :D
