Trim-To Length for .35 Remington
Hello to all! I'd appreciate a little help from those of you who reload for this cartridge. I'll soon be putting together some ammo for a Marlin 336A I picked up, as soon as I take delivery on Beartooth's cast pills, so I printed out the Cartridge & Chamber drawing from the data base on this site. If I read it right, max case length is 1.920"-.020". Does this mean trim-to is 1.900"? Other sources, such as Lyman's 2nd Edition Pistol & Revolver Handbook list 1.910" as trim-to length for the T/C Contenders chambered in the cart. I'm confused. Can someone educate me on this? Thanx for your help. jd45

Re: Trim-To Length for .35 Remington
My Hornady book 6th edition and Speer 12th edition lists 1.910" as trim length, max case length at 1.920", so I'd trim to 1.910"

Full length size them first, then measure them before you trim them. I've had a lot of cases in recent years that won't even make the "trim to" length.

And the "LeveRevolution" ones are WAY short. Keep any of that brass separate, if you have any.

AJMD429, I just measured 6 fired cases of that LE stuff I shot at the range a few months ago & believe it or not, their lengths are within normal spec for the cartridge..........between 1.909 & 1.913. Possibly Hornady decided to upgrade from the first ammo that hit the market? Maybe I've got some more recently mfg'd ammo? I don't know, but I'll keep a close watch on my case length, just to be safe. Thanx, jd45
