348 Win. Looking For Data on Hornady's 200 Grain SP Bullet

I'm about ready to spend a bunch of money on some high priced bullets for my 348 Winchester. The bullets are light weight, weigh 180 grains, expand easily (but stay together), and are expensive. The reason I'm considering the purchase of these bullets is because I've read that Hornady's 200 grain SP bullet is a bit too hard and tough for deer sized game; that is, they don't expand reliably on deer sized game. The expensive bullets have three downsides in my opinion: one, they are light for caliber; two, the copper jacket is annealed which causes friction and sticky feeding; and three, they can only be purchased by mail and are twice as much as Hornady's before shipping costs are added.

So, what are your terminal performance observations of the Hornday 200 SP bullet? The bullets I'm looking to buy are made by Hawk - http://www.hawkbullets.com/

The hornadys will work just fine on deer Ive shot mulies and wt thru the heart/lung does the job every time. If anything the hornadys might be a little light to shoot thru both shoulders of a elk or moose. I like eating elk and moose so I dont do that but some people do. danny

I've not shot the Hawk stuff but you could solve the 'light for caliber' problem by buying the 200gr Hawk's rather than the 180's. I can imagine that the Hawk may expand a bit easier with a raw lead core and an annealed jacket. Do you not have a copy of the 348 Excel spreadsheet?

The 200 grain Hawk bullets have a thicker jacket than the 180 grain bullet; however I don't know how much expansion it impedes. And, no I don't have the spread sheet. Perhaps I could obtain one?
