Finally made it to the range!

Post by Old Time Hunter »

Wow, after almost a month of sub-zero weather and a couple of yards of snowfall it has warmed up to a balmy 33'F. And I hit the range!

Oh well...guess it doesn't work, no pictures.

Lucky dog. Well maybe after this month is over I will get a chance to get out and send some rounds down range myself.

Every time I've said I'm going to try to get to the range the weather turns crappy overnight. I'm not gonna jinx myself again. But I are gonna git there as soon as I can.

If I'm lucky my camera batteries will be up and I'll even take a digital image or three.

If you guys are lucky I might post 'em here.

I plan on it this weekend as long as the skies are dry and the weather above 40 with no wind. No, I really don't ask for much out of my shooting conditions...

I got out snowshoeing this weekend during the heat wave , we got above freezing. I took some hay and corn out to the deer and then shot at corn stuble peeking through the snow. Corn stuble is pretty wiley, they'll sneak right up on you.

I noticed a bunch of apples still on the tree . That will be my range time this coming weekend . I 'll get my son and his Henry and the 39A and see if we can get those apples out of those trees.
