OT: "Study Abroad" Program, Explained (with pix)

Post by Old No7 »

Silly me...

I thought the whole intention of my son's UK Study Abroad program was to "study" while "abroad"...

Well, it looks like he is going to study a broad -- or two, or three!!!

(Wish I could say he takes after me, but if I was there, I'd be standing alone..........................)

Cheers!

What did some ungrateful Brit in World War 2 say of the Yanks: OVER PAID, OVER SEXED and OVER HERE?

Glad to see he's settled in OK

Thanks all.
Game Keeper: "What did some ungrateful Brit in World War 2 say of the Yanks: OVER PAID, OVER SEXED and OVER HERE?"
Ha! My late piano/organ teacher back in the late 60's/early 70's was an English lass, and she would say the quote was right!

Then again, my late father was a ground-pounder at Debden, near Saffron-Walden, on the RAF Eagle Squadron base (4th Fighter Group), and he would say the quote was wrong!

And as you may have guessed, my teacher (who used to work in a Spitfire factory) met an "over sexed" Yank and came across the pond with him.

Boy, she could really tickle those ivories... And how I loved her accent too...
