I Stumbled Into A "Bee" Today

Post by Blaine »

Went shooting with two buddies today, and the one that always has tables at the gun show remarked that he picked up 3 CLs a 32-20, 25-20 and a .218 Bee. He didn't really want them, but he got them real cheap......made him a offer on the Bee and money changed hands. I got it for a good price, too, I think. I haven't seen it yet, but Friend said it was nice and it will be nice if he sez so.......I believe I can shoot some hardcast cheaper than buying .22Mag for the 9422M........This should be a nice little thumper.......

You'll like it, alright. Had a Winchester Model 43 DL in .218 Bee* when I was a kid, shot dozens of woodchucks with it. Later on I had A Marlin 218 like yours. Don't believe it could match the Winchester as far as accuracy is concerned, but nevertheless it was a fun gun, and a pleasure to to carry.

*Second cartidge I handloaded (first was the 6.5 Arisaka). Used Hercules 2400 and 36gr Sisk bullets. Any of you other old
buzzards out there remember them?

You will like it Blaine. Very versatile if that is what gets you. The cast as you say are cheaper than .22 Mag and then you can load it with Lil'Gun to really move those 40-45 gr. bullets. Kills coyotes, fox, fox sized creatures that purr, etc. very well.

T3 - is he interested in selling the .32-20? I will be in the market for a lever in that caliber later this year when I replenish the old gun funds. PM me if he is - and congratulations on your "Bee"! :D
