Keep the light on for me.

Post by TedH »

It's that time again. Tomorrow I have to travel to one of my least favorite places, Chicago. Have work training and meetings all next week. I probably won't be able to wrestle my wife's laptop away from her to take along, so that means no Leverguns for a whole week. What's worse, is no CCW for a week. I'm going to feel naked. Of course with their strict gun laws I'm sure I have nothing to fear.

Laptops sure are handy things, if you do much travelling it's worth looking into getting one, the prices on small Acres are pretty good right now :D

Worst plane ride I ever had was going to Chigao O'Hare.
Didn't think I'd survive it. Took off from Cleveland right into the face of a huge thunderstorm.
Still get the willies thinking about it now!

Hope you have a WAY better ride!!

I don't normally mind flying, but I can drive this in 6 hours. Not worth the hassle of flying after a two hour drive to the airport.

IMO, anytime you can drive in less than 12hrs, there is no point in flying.

Me... I'll stretch that to a full 24hrs. I know too much about TSA to want to get on a plane.

Thanks Tubby... I know it sucks here... :?

I'll stretch that to maybe 24 DAYS. Planes these days are like prison, only more polite.

In 24hrs of Drive Time I can make it from Chicago to just about anywhere in the US - except AK, HI or PR...

You need a car like that guy who tried to drive from Cuba had. Wasn't it a '57 Chevy? The Coast Guard turned him back and sunk his car, then a couple years later he did it again with a Chevy pickup. Again they turned him back and sunk his truck. I think they should have let the guy in and fast-tracked him to citizenship. America needs people who are that ingenious and determined!

If any of them deserved special treatment, it was that ol' boy. He could have been a productive member of our society if he'd just gone about it the right way.
