Its Tycer and Jeff Quinn's fault!

Post by Bigahh »

Went to the Gun Shop with the intent of buying the Marlin 336 in 35 rem I was in love with, but after arriving they had a new BLR in 358 Win there. I remember Tycer getting one, and Jeff Quinn speaks highly of the rifle over at Gunblast.com so I bought it! Will mount a scope on it next week, and I will post pictures from the range at that time. :D

We should send Tycer and Jeff a box of ammo for a job well done!

My newest one should have come in today, but the weather has delayed it until tomorrow. I hate the wait!

You'll won't hunt with another gun in a while. The BLR is easy to carry and the 358 knocks them down. Did you get the straight or pistol grip?

It is a Pistol Grip, but not a Take Down.

If Tycer and Jeff Quinn are responsible for you buying a .358 Win BLR, you owe those boys a steak dinner.

And there I was thinking I was the premier .358 Winchester Booster in the bunch! :D

Looking at how that action opens I can't for the life of me see why a curved 30rd box mag couldn't be made to fit...

After reading the other post about triggers, I was a bit worried. Mine is fairly heavy. If I were to guess I would say 5-6#, but it is crisp, no creep at all. I think I can live with it. Looking forward to mounting the scope. I ordered a Vari x 3 Leupold 1.75-6. I will post a range report by next weekend after the scope and Hornady bullets arrive. I took the Bobcat to the cabin and plowed out my rifle range. May take a couple vacation days next week as our weather is suppose to be mid to upper 20's which is a heat wave compared to what its been. Pretty much the same as our Deer season weather.
