I fixed the rear sight with a drill bit sized down to right width a little while ago, and I am ready to tackle putting something on the end of the barrel now.

OT- Sight Dovetail
When a dovetail is dubbed a size i.e. 3/8", is that measured at the top or bottom? I always figured at the bottom, but I am in need of a front sight for my new-to-me ML and I want to get the right size the first time around. I am not worried about the height 'cause I can always go tall and grind it down.
