New barrel availability for older Marlin 22's

Post by kimwcook »

How hard is it to find a replacement barrel for the old Marlin 22's? Model 1897, etc... I've been looking at some older Marlin 22's and some of them say the rifling is poor. I love the patina old rifles/carbines have and wouldn't even think of buying one and not being able to hit the broad side of a barn, standing inside.

You will be surprised at all the new Marlin 22 barrels that Numrich has.

A reline, professionally done, will not hurt the value and is a whole lot less expensive.

A lot of us have had very positive experiences with John Taylor. www.johntaylormachine.com
I know a whole lot about very little and nothing about a whole lot.
