OT – Car crash

Post by Ysabel Kid »

I received this via e-mail Monday.

Image

Look at the picture above and you can see where this driver broke through the guardrail, on the right side of the culvert, where the people are standing on the road, pointing.

The pick-up was traveling about 75 mph from right to left when it crashed through the guardrail.

It flipped end-over-end bounced off and across the culvert outlet, and landed right side u p on the left side of the culvert, facing the opposite direction from which the driver was traveling.

The 22-year-old driver and his 18-year-old passenger were unhurt except for minor cuts and bruises.

Just outside Flagstaff , AZ on U.S. Hwy 100.

Now look at the second picture below...

If this guy didn't believe in God before, do you suppose he believes now?

I already beleive in God, but I'd still need a clean pair of shorts.
That which does not kill me has made a grave tactical error.

A few weeks ago, my wife and youngest daughter were in our Honda Civic when they were hit broadside by a large transport truck (Semi). The truck was going 55 mph when it slammed into the side of the Civic, destroying the car and sending the wreckage and large pieces flying into the ditch. To give you an idea of the impact, my daughter's medium-sized suitcase with her figure skating gear was in the backseat before the impact, and it came to rest over 75 yards out in a field beyond where our wrecked car came to rest. My wife and daughter had some pretty good bruises, as they got slammed pretty hard by the front end of that semi, but other than that, they walked away. When I got there, the police still seemed to be a bit shocked that my wife and Hannah survived to walk away. The fellow who winched the wreckage up onto his flatbed truck told me he's never seen a wreck like that where people actually walked away. Bottom line: Like the police and the wrecker, I cannot see how they could have survived, let alone walked away, without God supplying some pretty serious invisible personal crash protection during the impact. I've been thanking God a lot since then, and I imagine the fellow in the accident in the first post above must be thanking God too, if he's got any sense at all.

cedars and a magnificent Whitetail buck framed in the semi-buckhorn sights of a 120-year old Winchester.

YK,

Incredible picture!

KirkD,

So glad there was such a happy end to your story! I'm really glad you are not forgetting to thank God for such an obvious miracle. Just to increase our chances, cuz I know ANYTHING can happen, I REALLY try to keep our cars with safety in mind, great tires, brakes and SIZE. Our family road rig is a 2004 Suburban 3/4 ton. Looking at another rig for running around local for the family just today. Keeping all that in mind again.

Had a close buddy killed in Jan 2001, he was driving a Geo Metro to save gas going to and from his job as an electician. Impact of an average head on collision broke his neck. Never will forget that day!
