My Dad's father was a dedicated Bolt Gun guy and really into custom lightweights.
One of his favorites was a Japanes Arisaka that was sporterized and rechambered to .257 Roberts.
She sports an 18 1/2" Barrel, new trigger and guard assembly, Williams reciever sight and new ramp front sight.
Weighs about 6 pounds.
My Grandfather took several deer and a bunch of antelope with this rifle.
Still has the Mum on the receiver

Floorplate;

I got it as a 18th Birthday present. Has always been one of my favorite trail guns.
He made up hundreds of .257 lead RNGC bullets that I'm still shooting.
Now before you guys start _____ about screwing up and original Arisaka. I doubt
My Grandfather paid more than ten dollars for it before he had it worked over. Was
just the thing to do in those days.
