Please post political post in the new Politics forum.
It is neat to find a forum dedicated to my new hobby. I am a member and active poster in 2 other auto related boards, so i will try not to commit any of the faux pas' of the rank forum novices. (boardmember name is the same as the one i use in my classic truck forum to eliminate confusion for me)
I am not to date a huge collector or anything, but my experience and enjoyment installing a saddle ring and big lever on my father's Win 94 has me exploring other lever gun avenues and researching the vintage stuff more.
I am glad i found this board and will spend some time researching old posts on a bad weather Sunday, so to you all reading, i'll raise my coffee mug and say "Cheers"

Actually, there is a new rule that you can't be a member unless you post pics, right guys...? Remember? You know, at our last meeting? Yeah, lots of pics.
(I'll shutup now - I promised to post pics of my new Marlin XLR about twenty posts ago... I'll go find the camera ...)
Doctors for Sensible Gun Laws "first do no harm" - gun control LAWS lead to far more deaths than 'easy access' ever could.
Doug, welcome to Leverguns. I'm from the Oklahoma City area as well... though my job as a trucker and my marriage to a Canadian gal has me being gone from OKC for long periods.

Thanks for the warm reception ! I will post some pics of my humble project when i get a patch cord squared away for my camera.
As for the OU/FLA issues ---- well, i am OSU alumni but live in Norman, so its complicated, but i will concede that was a good game. It was nice to see 2 well matched teams in the championship for once, even though my home state's team got the worse end of the deal. (living in Norman, i have to root for the Sooners when the Poke's season is over by homeowner's ordinance i think)
I was much more satisfied with this OU loss than their losses in BCS games of the previous 2 years (fluke win by Boise, then a Hell's Angels stomping by west Virginia)
