Welcome....

You can do the single-shot but the lever is an expensive proposition and the pump an impossibility, at least for most of us. What you need is a Winchester M94 in .357 Magnum and some money. Yes, we've discussed this ad naseum. No, there's never been a completely satisfactory conversion of the Marlins.
Sincerely,

A Ruger No.1 has a lever.

If you find one in 357 mag. it could probably be re-cut easy to maximum length. The hard part would be finding the No.1.

Playing with my Rossi 92 & a .357 Maximum it ( appears ) to be feasible.
Remember it sits into the recess in the bolt for quite a ways, ejecting loaded rounds may prove to be problematic.
Question: Sell the maximum, go to a Blackhawk in .357/.44 Bain &Davis, the rifle companion would be easy on the Marlin or Rossi,Win.

Even if it weren't a gift from the wife, you shouldn't sell the Maximum! Even if you weren't going to shoot it, you shouldn't sell the Maximum. You just can't GET those any more!

It doesn't look like the 1894 Marlin will accept a cartridge the length of the .357 Max., but it wouldn't hurt to call and find out what can be done.

Well, if the cost doesn't make you see reason, contact any of the smiths here. Have fun.
