Anybody heard anything of the dedicated .22 long rifle 1911 supposed to be made by the newly re-formed Iver Johnson?

No.....But, depending on cost, that could be a very useful thing to have around for a 1911 owner, or heck, just for fun. I've had fun with several different 1911 conversions that belonged to other shooters......

No, but I got a slide and magazine 'conversion' that I found nice for the kids (over about age 12, they prefer the real .45 loads  ) and I probably should use more for practice myself. Until I run out of my cast-bullet reloads I got a bunch of on sale, that is...)

A dedicated .22 1911 would be very cool. Didn't IJ make a .22 version of the M1 Carbine?

Joe,

They have been on the Web for over a year, now:

http://www.iverjohnsonarms.com/

I believe that they do not advertise, much.

Shawn,

Thanks for the link. I'll check it out. This is the first I've heard of it. But then I don't get out much anymore ....
