I'm back!

Post by Doc Hudson »

Thanks for the prayers and good wishes, they were needed! The trip over and back were made in some of the worst driving weather I've encountered in years.

When I got there, Mom could hardly walk. Even so, I had to threaten to tie her down to keep her in her recliner. The following Wednesday, I took her to Dothan for an epidural shot. Within three days, she was driving me nuts trying to make her stay seated and not be puttering around doing household chores.

Now she is doing better than she was before she fell. The split head has still not fully healed, but it seems to be healing nicely. I still don't understand why she didn't get stitches when she went to the ER.

Doc,

Glad you got there and back safely. I'm glad your mom is improving as much as she is.
And I can tell you from experience with both my mom and my grandmom that there is no worse patient than an older lady who gets sidelined. They just hate to sit still.
As for why no stitches I don't know. Seams like they should have put them in though.

Great to hear Doc!

IT WAS GOOD HEARING YOUR VOICE THE OTHER DAY, DOC. I APPRECIATED YOUR THOUGHTFULNESS.
I AM GLAD TO SEE YOUR MOMMA IS RECUPERATING NICELY AND DRIVING YOU NUTS IN THE PROCESS.

Good news on both fronts (that your Mother is healing and that you made it back safely)! :D
