My favorite would be a 311284 and 21 gr of 4759 for about 1650 fps.

From my Browning 1895, I've cast these bullets and found them to shoot well.

In an original 1895. my favorite load is 28 grains of 5744 behind the gas checked Lyman 311284---215 grain, sized .311, in commercial cases and Fed. L.R. Primers. These chrono at 1755 fps@ 45 degrees and will smack small things out to 600 yards.
Another great cast bullet load, and one that I use more of (because of a 4 cav. mould, and ease of loading) is the 175 gr. Saeco tapered bullet, sized to .311 with 26 gr. of 5744 for 1816 fps@55 degrees.
These same loads, minus 2 grains of 5744, get loaded in an pair of 1895's in 30-40 Krag.---Just as accurate.----------------Sixgun
