Based on the amount of snow we got Friday and the forecast for today ( snowfall warning, up to 9" and blowing and drifting), I cancelled our silhouette match, phoned or emailed everybody so no one had a wasted journey.
Woke up this morning, had about 2" and the sun is now shining.
Can't trust these forecasters
Oh well, I can catch up on some reloading I suppose.

Sometimes I wonder if it is worthwhile gnawing through the leather straps to get up in the morning..................
Hey I'll trade you! We got 10" yesterday, and now freezing rain on top of that! We've had two flights out of here cancelled, and still trying to get another scheduled! Supposed to be at our daughter's in warm, sunny San Diego for the week, but not sure when (or if) we'll get there!
I'll trade both of you.
We are going on 36+ inches most of it from Friday and today plus 30-40 mph winds for tonight more snow and another storm on Tue-Wed!!
Its only Dec!!
That which does not kill me has made a grave tactical error.
We're getting winds from 30-50 mph, and the darn snow is blowing into my garage right past the door seals!
Where are you located with the 36" of snow? Man that's a lot to deal with!

Mid-West Michigan.
We are already at our 3rd snowiest winter on record and we have another good 2-3 months of winter left.

DRIVE!!!!! The heck with a plane.
If yer worried about I5 being closed between just North of the CA Border and Redding, CA, take OR State Hwy 140 out of Medford to Klamath Falls, OR, OR State Hwy 39 and CA State Hwy 139 to Canby,CA, turn right on CA State Hwy 299 to Alturas, CA, turn right at the blinking red light on US Hwy 395 and take that all the way South until 395 runs into I15 and take I15 South into San Diego. Sound complicated but it is easy. One hwy flows into another. If you leave within the next few hours and drive overnight, you can be in San Diego, CA PDQ (pretty darn quick) -- tomorrow afternoon.
I drive from Alturas to Los Angeles and San Diego via the 395 route a couple, three times a year. It's good road all the way and an easy drive.

I thought you Canadians thrived on snow...!
In central Indiana, it's now bouncing between the teens and twenties, and for US, that's not warm and fuzzy...
My 14 year old son and I cut firewood (a truck-bed-load) and hayed the livestock, watered the troughs, and went in to thaw our fingers out. Of COURSE when we'd done that, we had to REWARD ourselves, and took my old .444 (the NEW one is my XLR with crooked sights that has to go back to the manufacturer to teach me a lesson for buying a second one when my old one was nice enough...) and busted a couple 2-liter bottles full of water.
Love those .444's...!

Ain't that somethin'! Here, I'm wishing for snow and you boys have too much. I would sure like to try out the loader on my Kubota but all we get is rain and ice here in SE Pa. -----------Sixgun
Man I know what ya'll mean, it was was in the upper 60's here yesterday, thought I was going to have to get out a jacket . All kidding aside, after that nice weather yesterday it dropped down to a low of 22 here at the house last night and is still only about 36 with a good North wind blowing. Chills me to the bone. I had to run to town and when I got home 86er was out in the pasture sighting in a rifle . Some people are a lot more hard core then I am. It wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for that 20 mph wind.
8" last night and wind in the 40-50 mph range. Our high today was -5. Last week i had to take my coat and ht off in the deer blind as it was over 50 degrees. In 24 hours the temps went from 50 above to -8. In other words typical Nebraska weather.
