XS front sight...

Post by RSY »

I want to get one of these numbers for my Win BB94, but my calipers are buried (vertically and laterally) in a box somewhere in my garage. Anyone know what size I should get to mimic the height of the factory front sight?

Thanks, in advance.

.360" high, IIRC.

I went with a higher front blade (.410"), but that's because I was shooting with a receiver peep.

Now that I've looked at their site, I don't actually see where you can order different sizes. Hmmmmm...

I'm using a Williams FP, myself. It doesn't look like they sell the sights a la carte, either. I really don't want to buy a set.

XS sells the front sight blades ala carte, if you call them.
Any height can be had, within reason, with or w/o the white stripe @ 1/2 the $$$$ of the XS peep set, IIRC.

I ordered a pin-in front for my .405 Winchester M1895, when I bolt peeped it.

I put a Williams FP on the back of mine and a Firesight for the front. I really like the firesight too.

I thought about that, too, handi. But, I want a true flat-topped post, I think.

So you can get the front sights without the white stripe??? OK. I like that idea.

I like the Skinner brass front blade. Not expensive and he will make them any height you want.I ordered 2 in case I filed off too much off my first try.
