The UK has foxes coming out their ears. There are not enough folks removing them from the environment and they are everywhere!


I came across this pic showing a fox on Downing street (I'm thinking this is REALLY downtown ).

We need to go over there and help Nath thin 'em out. (I ain't goin' if I can't take Puzzle One and my pocket knife, though! )

Yep, we are over run with them. I shot two more last Sunday and beat for driven pheasant yesterday on the same ground in which three more were seen and one of them was shot by the guns as it attempted to run through them. Tia retrieved it to me at the end of the drive for disposal in the wood
On the same day (Wednesday) Tia and I had a vixen walk down to 20yds to me as we waited for the drive to start. It was just trotting along without a care in the world and when it did notice us it just about turned and scampered off! Tia looked at me and I looked at her, shrugged my shoulders and said "I know"!

Best get scrubbing that 308!

A year ago, I had two red foxes spending their days sleeping in my back yard. I looked out my front window one day at 11:00 AM and saw one of them come trotting up the sidewalk, tongue hanging out, looking like a neighborhood dog going home. He turned up the driveway, went behind the garage and over the fence, and into the back yard to curl up in the grass and snooze. He still shows up occasionally; the other one has probably died somewhere, as he hasn't been seen since March or April.

The Fox (Vulpes vulpes) is indigenous to the UK but I have read that in the 1800s some were brought over from Europe for hunting.

We have a rare gray and red fox sightings around here due to the abundant population of immigrant non native COYOTES .Well I shoot'em when I can. !
