Non-lever ? - What is your favorite .40 S&W recipe?

Post by Ysabel Kid »

Heck, the subject line says it all!

I picked up a EBP in a subcompact in .40 S&W a couple weeks ago. Was popping primers while watching "Charlie Brown" with the kids this evening. I have some 155-grain cast LRN bullets that need consumed. These are Valiant hard-cast bullets; .401-inch. The rounds will just be used for practice. Does anyone have a favorite powder and charge for this round?

Is that the little Glock? If so, you might want to research shooting cast bullets in factory Glock barrels before loading any. Some folks have rapidly disassembled theirs.

Another WARNING to NOT use cast bullets in your factory barrel!!!!! Get yourself an aftermarket barrel for that!
Have Colts, will travel.

You boys are right - I do recall reading that in their manual. Will have to save the cast stuff for the Springfield XD...
