Lost a Friend?

Post by Rusty »

I know a lot of folks here have posted that they've lost their canine companion in the last little bit. I was looking for something else and found this.

One of the first books I remember my father reading to us was "Only a Dog", a story about a dog and his master during WWI. I remember still crying like a baby at the end of the story - of course, I was practically just a baby at 5 or so. I read it to my kids too - the same book (1920's edition, IIRC), and keep it in my dresser beside the bible.

Now I have something in my eye...
