File the blade off the post and then cut down into the post with a hacksaw and clean up with a needle file. Then pin a new silver blade into the recess. Tis takes very little skill just a little tie and a few common tools.

My front blade sets off to one side so if I get it moved to the center of the barrel I will not have to have the rear ajustment all the way out. who ever put the front sight on must have come into work with a hang over.

EHD,

Your front sight sounds like the one on my Win 94AE Trapper. The rear dovetail is as it should be, but the factory soldered the front sight tilted. It's a gunsmith repair like yours and there is NOBODY locally I'll even talk to. You might contact our own Steve Young. He's gunsmith in Texas who specializes in lever guns and cas toys. He goes by Nate Kiowa Jones here on the forum. There are many members here who will give Steve positive feedback on the work he's done. Myself included.

Nate would be a good one. Another real pro is Bill English thesmithshop.com Either of those fellers can fix it so ya won't know it was ever buggered.
