Gun cabinets

Post by Ysabel Kid »

This would make a dandy storage and display for a collection of leverguns!!! :D

Of course, I just found out yesterday I live in the highest crime area of my country - due to the proximity to Charlotte, just a couple miles away and across the border. Looks like mine - IF I HAD ANY - would need to stay in the heavy-duty safe...

Wouldn't it be nice to live in a society where a) burglaries were less common because criminals were prosecuted instead of practitioners of vice (the US has 25% of the world's jailed citizens, yet only 4% of the world's population), and b) guns were so common nobody would bother stealing one, and c) guns were so un-regulated that they didn't become 'irreplaceable' by legislative fiat?

Looks nice, but when it comes to valuables, my philosophy is you'll keep it if it is out of sight & under lock & key.

I've known a few guys who firearms were stolen. In each cases, they had them on display or told to many people about their "collection"....
The most important aspect of this signature line is that you don't realize it doesn't say anything significant until you are just about done reading it & then it is too late to stop reading it....

Yep nice, if you wired it to a couple of claymores right up front.

+1

AJ, I agree, but would add that if we were allowed to shoot on sight anyone trying to take our hard-earned stuff, without any fear of legal repercussions, then there would be a whole lot less crime as well.

Back when the police could yell "stop" to someone fleeing, then shoot them if they didn't stop, you had a lot less perps running away from cops. Simple logic always works best!

I had planned to build an addition to my house
which would include a "safe" room for hurricanes,
and double as a safe...and that is pretty close
to what i was thinking as far as the millwork....
except the flatscreen tv would go in the middle...

I used to display all my guns, but since the robbery they must remain in the lock up now. A lot of the pleasure was being able to sit around and just look at them. No More , thanks to some , Well I better not foul this forum with what I'm thinking or wanting to say. I'm sure some of you have gone through the same experence

Mutt - as far as I'm concerned, torture is too humane for scum that rob homes.

RIHMFIRE - I've always dreamed about a "safe room", that would double as my office and a storm shelter. Someday...

There's nothing I'd love more than to be able to just display my guns in a gun cabinet! Wish I could do so and feel comfortable they'd survive! Someday I'll build a walkin gun vault in the basement and maybe then I can have a nice cabinet like that to display in!
