Great Service.
Hello All, I needed to replace the cracked buttplate on my Savage 99 takedown.did a little looking around and found these Guys...http://vintagegungrips.net/index.html ordered one late last week and it came today.it is very close to an exact replacment except for some fitting as the rifle was made in 1915. I will buy from them again.

They've had a bit of my business over the years.
Here's another one. Joe will do custom stuff for you also.

Re: Great Service.
I have a friend that collects military handguns and other curio auto pistols. They made him a set of replacement grips for one of his Bergmann's and he was quite please with their quality. Not a lot of Bergmann grips lying around on the surplus tables at gunshows these days.
Better add the obligatory Bergmann link ... Bergmann Pistol

IIRC wasn't it a Bergman that the kid was using in "Big Jake?"
I've called those folks before my self. They're located in Longwood, Fla. I wanted to go by and just browse but they said they don't have facilities for on site customers. They were nice about it though.

It was one of the later guns, a Bergmann-Bayard of 1910.Rusty wrote:IIRC wasn't it a Bergman that the kid was using in "Big Jake?"

I haven't seen that later model before. Nice looking gun ... sort of Broomhandle-ish.
