Seriously though - I was ripping some Christmas music today for my wife, and decided that my very favorite Christmas song of all time is "O Holy Night". Bing Crosby's version to be exact. When the refrain starts, and he sings "...fall on your knees", I get a chill each and every time. Probably because the only one I'll ever "fall on my knees" for is my Lord who died for me. Just a powerful song in my book and I love it.
Glory to God in the highest- EHSS
That little Baby- Gold City
Who do you think- EHSS
Mary did you know?- Mark Lowry
Anything sung by David Phelps or Josh Grobin
That's just a few, I like Christmas music.
Qui tacet consentit. (silence implies consent) The Boring Blog
Or maybe this variant of Gaudete Gaudete (turn it up. the allelujah's are quiet)
But then, my Christmas Playlist is up to 7GB... (1095 songs, 54 albums... and growing. I'm still ripping my old LPs...)
C2N14... because life is not energetic enough. מנא, מנא, תקל, ופרסין Daniel 5:25-28... Got 7.62?

Off the record, I have always been fond of Jingle Bells sung by Burl Ives. On the record, I sold all my favorite Christmas songs long ago and dont have anymore.

I'm with you Cash. Kathy Matea sings "Mary Did You Know" better than any one I've heard do it. I've heard Kenny Rogers do it and I've even heard Mark Lowery do it and he wrote it. No body does it better than Kathy.
Jimmy Buffet's "Christmas Island"

Priceless!!!
It was actually Holly Jolly Christams by Burl Ives I was thinking of and not Jingle bells. Like Rihmfire, it reminds me of when I was a kid. It has always been my favorite.
+1 on Bing's "O Holy Night"
+1 on Johnny Mathis, especially "Chestnuts..."
I really love them all, from "The Littlest Angel" to "Little Drummer Boy", to "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" and "I'll Be Home For Christmas", to "Do You Hear What I Hear" and "Coventry Carol". I also like some of the more modern songs, like the one done by Sting on the first "A Very Special Christmas" album and the entire album of Amy Grant, her first one, which includes "Tennessee Christmas" and "Emmanuel". I'm with OI on this one -- we must have 60-80 Christmas albums. This year is the year I digitize them.

Yes....Emmanuel! Who could forget that one!
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8
C. Cash wrote:Come on Steveb....you know your favorite Christmas song is "Why am I such a misfit?" (private joke between me and Steve) Hint: Bumbles Bounce!
Hi Chris, that is right up there with my favorites and one I can relate with! I also like silver and gold
If you know me, you will not be surprised to know that I lean heavily to the Classical side of the house. Handel's "Hallelujah Chorus" is the center piece of any musical presentation, IMO......LeRoy Anderson's "Sleigh Ride", Alfred Reed's "Russian Christmas Music" is stunning. Humperdink's "Prayer and Dream Sequence" is wonderfully emotional. And on and on. Almost forgot "Ave Maria".........Plus, all the traditional ones: I just like them instrumental and not vocal.
