Nice tusker! I'm guessing a game farm since you mentioned a guide? I don't think these run wild in VT do they?

Not at all, both my son and I used our .35 Remington 336s. The lodge was very hunter friendly. There were guys there that used bigger stuff but, we didn't think it neccessary.

Congratulations to your boar. Russian boar are not native to New England but there are three preserves that I know that have them. Sometimes there are some escapees and the state fish and game commissions as a rule see them as fair game by a licensed hunter.
