Picked up a Pedersoli 1874 Sharps and made it to the range for the first time today.
Friend of mine did the shooting as I was having a time just to keep it on the target.

Load was 500 gas checked cast from a Lee double cavity mould on top of 42 grs Of AA2015.

Alloy was about 7 on the saeco scale, wheel weights mixed with lead shot and leadless solder added to harden it a touch.
bullets were put through a RCBS lubsizer with a homemade die making them.4585 in dia. Lube was alox beeswax mix.
I'm new to this casting business and find it challenging to obtain consistant weights. I made over a hundred bullets and then weighed them into groups (5) these were the heavy ones . Bottom poured from a 20lb Lee Pot. I shoot short range benchrest.
NBRSA .This kind of group from a bench gun will do nothing but put you in last place even at 200yds but I can tell you , 500grs of lead making a hole like that with Iron sights really rocked my world. Thats why I had to share!!!

The sights are the Creedmore midrange Sillywet model. the gun comes only with the flip up rear ladder style and a tunnel front with inserts. I purchased it used though I couldn't tell if it had been fired as it was pristine. That model came out in 2005 with a 30inch barrel new ones now have a 32 inch. weighs 12.5 lbs as it is.That seems to help soak up the recoil!!!
I recently purchased a Uberti highwall copy (waited almost a full year for it) now I have only shot it twice and the results so far are ok but no where near what this Sharps will do. Otherwise fit and finish are outstanding (maybe case coloring a little weak) otherwise a high recomend from my end.
